Comet Williams was a binocular object in the Southern Hemisphere, when Gordon Garradd shot this image from Australia on August 25, 1998. The comet became visible in the Northern Hemisphere late last month. For us, however, a small telescope will be required, as Comet Williams has faded to about magnitude 10.
