Aquarian actuarials

At the January 18 planning meeting, treasurer Mike Anderson reported our financial standing as follows.

   Checking    $3,030.60
   CD #1         $3,695.07 matures 2/17/01
   CD #2         $2,883.56 matures 4/6/01
   CD #3  $2,282.03 matures 2/27/01

CD #2 holds the club's dark sky site key deposits against claim by members who surrender keys. Additionally, renewal memberships are increasing our checking account, and our assets will be reduced by the cost of printing the February newsletter.

Starting the year as members
Sixteen renewals arrived during the first two weeks of 2001, and they continue to arrive at our mailbox. Thank you for remembering to complete your renewal no later than the February general meeting. Reminder cards will be sent in March, in lieu of an edition of
Prime Focus, to members who have not paid 2001 dues.

We also wish to welcome new members in January, the John Naff Family, and Ernie Giesker. Please be sure to introduce yourself to these new colleagues.   (Continued on page 5)

Tri Valley Stargazers holds this space  in anticipation of a new production sponsor. Do you work for a firm that would be willing to support amateur astronomy in the public interest?
