Key change is still coming
As previously announced, plans are under way for a key change and lock upgrade at Hidden Hill Observatory. The schedule will be announced in a future Prime Focus. Members will have at least 90 days during which to exchange their current keys. All paid key deposits will roll over with the new system. (Key deposits are collateralized by a club certificate of deposit.)
Moving the money around
Last month the club paid many of its standing bills, including $600 to the church for our annual use and storage fees, and $200 base rent for our dark sky site. The following checking account balance has therefore been adjusted downward by $800 from the figure quoted by treasurer Mike Anderson at the February 21 planning meeting. The CD figures remain per Mike's report.
Checking $2,741.10 (Subscriptions have been paid.) CD #1 $3,561.03 matures 5/17/00 CD #2 $2,748.27 matures 4/6/00 CD #3 $2,175.23 matured 2/27/00, to be updated .
Certificate of deposit #2 holds the club's observatory key deposits against claim by members who surrender keys.
