Dave Anderson announces Camp Shelly dates
Our star parties at Camp Shelly (Lake Tahoe) are now confirmed. The first event will occur Friday and Saturday, August 6-7. We will have four campsites. The limits are eight people and two cars per site, so that allows up to 32 people and eight cars.
The second star party will be Friday through Sunday, September 3-5 (Labor Day weekend). We will only have two campsites for that weekend (i.e., 16 people and four cars). Livermore residents, however, can pay to reserve additional sites beginning April 15. If we have strong interest in the Labor Day weekend trip, perhaps the club could pay for a couple more sites. The ranger doesn't think the sites will sell out very quickly, so we can take a poll at the April general meeting.
Both of these star parties are around Third Quarter Moon.
