Observatory director's report
At the November planning meeting, observatory director Chuck Grant briefed the board on progress of the project to upgrade the club scope. He has located a 7.5-inch Byer's gear that is suitable for the drive.
Unfortunately, his van did not share his enthusiasm for a trip to Hidden Hill Observatory to pick up the scope. This automotive insubordination delayed

Chuck's plans to retrieve the scope and work on it in Livermore. Consequently, the telescope remains on site at H2O. Check the club website for ongoing status updates regarding the scope's condition.
To no one's surprise, the all-club survey revealed wide dissatisfaction with the current outhouses. The board is investigating options for relocating and/or rebuilding the present one-holers. If you have contacts or expertise in the porta-potty business, contact Chuck at 925/449-1500.
