February's financials
At the February 12 planning meeting, treasurer Mike Anderson reported our financial standing as follows.
Checking $1,795.12
CD #1 $3,695.07 matures 2/17/01
CD #2 $2,883.56 matures 4/6/01
CD #3 $2,282.03 matures 2/27/01
We have paid annual rents to the church (for meeting space and for our storage room), and to the land owners of our dark sky site. Magazine subscriptions received through the end of January have been renewed. Our AANC dues were also paid on January 31. CD #2 holds the club's dark sky site key deposits against claim by members who surrender keys.
Meet the new members
The first part of the year has been very busy with the renewals of ongoing members. Thank you for your continuing support of TVS and astronomy in the public interest. Additionally, TVS recently added two individual members, Chris Cook and John Brenneman. Please introduce yourself to these fine folks at the March 9 general meeting.
