Observatory key change in second month
The 90-day window for swapping your outdated Hidden Hill Observatory key for a new one began on July 1. Please make arrangements with observatory director Chuck Grant to swap your key no later than the September general meeting. The easiest and most delicious way to sign the dark sky site agreement and receive your new key, is to come to the August ice cream social. If you prefer an exchange by mail, write to Chuck at our P.O. box, at the address at the bottom of this page.

At the July planning meeting, member Paul Caswell and director Debbie Dyke announced that they will collaborate on the club archivist/historian position. Don't be surprised when Paul calls to ask you what you remember about the early days of TVS. Together with Debbie, he will be searching old news-letters and planning meeting minutes to learn the names of long-time TVS members.
If you have historical materials or photographs of interest to the club at large, please contact Paul at pcaswell@earthlink.net, or Debbie at ddfam@pacbell.net. You can also send materials to their attention via our post office box. If you have original documents or images that you wish to have returned, please attach a brief note describing the item and include your postal return address.
