Key change saga continues
Observatory director Chuck Grant has ordered a new lock and keys for Hidden Hill Observatory. He will describe the key change procedures at the May general meeting. Members will have at least 90 days during which to exchange their current keys. All paid key deposits will roll over with the new system. (Key deposits are collateralized by a club certificate of deposit.)
Fun with numbers
At the April 24 planning meeting, treasurer Mike Anderson reported our financial standing as follows.
Checking $3,897.78
CD #1 $3,561.03 matures 5/17/00
CD #2 $2,778.82 matures 7/6/00
CD #3 $2,199.74 matures 5/27/00
Certificate of deposit #2 holds the club's observatory key deposits against claim by members who surrender keys.
Spring brings more members
At the May 19 general meeting, please welcome four new groups of members. Joining TVS are the Michael Talbot Family, the William and Kathy Oliver Family, the Bill Sherwood Family, and the Charles McMillan Family. Please help us make these new members feel welcome and appreciated.
