   At the beginning of the August 23 planning meeting, treasurer Mike Anderson offered the following report to the board.

CD #1        $3,484.64 (matures 11/17/99)
CD #2        $2,131.38 (matured 8/27/99, will be updated next month)
CD #3        $2,692.21 (matures 10/6/99)
   
   Our special thanks go to club member Dave Rodrigues for his generous donations to the TVS Yosemite Star Party. 

Don't be shy!

   If school has started again, it must also be time to start thinking about a slate of directors and officers for TVS in the Year 2000. Nominations will be taken during September and October. Our annual open elections will be conducted at the November general meeting. When you are thinking about reliable TVS stalwarts, don't forget yourself!
