Showing the step by step assembly of the telescope

The telescope is stored in two custom made wood boxes with secure latches.

Inside the boxes are all the parts.

The truss elements are made from carbon fiber and machined aluminum insets.

The top of the telescope like all wood parts is made from thin layered baltic birch plywood. Aluminum struts provide extra stability. The secondary is 4"

The primary mirror is enclosed in a wooden box which sits on the custom welded aluminum cell.

Lateral mirror support balance elements. Supported on off-center stainless steel posts which rotate to adjust spacing.
